Welcome to Letchworth Arts Centre

Welcome to the Letchworth Arts Centre in the centre of Letchworth Garden City, which presents exciting exhibitions, live shows, and arts- related courses for children and adults in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

We offer the following:

A suite of three gallery spaces – with a year-long programme of diverse artists showing work of national and international acclaim.
A wide education programme for children – with classes in art, drama and music. Courses for adults too – in subjects ranging from Creative Writing to Watercolours.
Special Events – ranging from jazz evenings, touring theatre and a monthly Comedy Club for adults to discos and story-telling for children.
The Arts Centre Café – offering great food and drink in our light and airy cafe operated by the charity Guideposts.
Lifts from the ground floor provide full wheelchair/pushchair access.

Stage Hire

If you are planning an outdoor event you can hire our portable stage at very reasonable rates – an absolute bargain!

Other services are available (eg sound, lighting and technician) to provide all you need.

Membership

You can become a member of the Arts Centre for only £10 per year per family. Members receive regular invitations to special events such as exhibition private views; have priority booking for events; and receive discounts on events and courses.

Volunteers also play a huge part in the running of the Arts Centre, and we are always looking for people who can spare some of their valuable time to help.

Visiting Us

The entrance to the Arts Centre is in the Arcade, just off Leys Avenue, with stairs or a lift to the first floor.

The Arts Centre and exhibition galleries are open Mondays to Fridays 10.00 am to 5.00 pm; Saturdays 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.
The Arts Cafe is open from Monday to Saturday, 10.00 am to 3.30 pm.
