Wren Room

Situated on our second floor is a large studio with the capacity for 120 people, including performers, staff and stewards, and with a full PA system, light rig and portable staging which can be erected in various parts of the room.

This is where the live music and theatre performances are held.

It can be split into two smaller rooms making it ideal for private parties and functions, adult celebrations, business events, club meetings and children's parties. Recent events include a bouncy castle birthday party.

It is fully accessible by lift.

Bar facilities are available.

Book early to avoid disappointment.

Room hire is also available for our classroom space. This room is particularly well suited for our bar facilities, and also provides extra entertainment space for your event.

Booking arrangements

If you wish to book any of these spaces for your own function, please pop in to the Centre and one of our staff will be pleased to help you. A returnable Damage/Deposit bond of £100 is payable.

Galleries Hire

The Main Gallery (250 sq metres approx) can be hired for £75 a week, with a minimum hire period of two weeks and maximum of four. A four-week hire is £290.

The Foyer Gallery is available for a one-off administration charge of £25. It can accommodate four A3 or six A4 size conventional images or a range of other work.

The Café Gallery is available for a one-off administration charge of £55. It can comfortably accommodate a single body of work (up to about 12 pictures A2 size).

The above charges are based on at least 75 per cent of the work being available for purchase. The commision for LAC on all works sold is 25 per cent. We have a full current programme, and some LAC exhibitions are now programmed up to two years in advance.

The Main Gallery can also be hired for parties, receptions and other functions. If required, catering can be organised through our Cafe, which offers a wide range of home-cooked food to suit every kind of event. A charge is payable if you which to organise your own catering, depending on the day and time of the event.
