The Galleries are the focal point of the Arts Centre, with a full programme of exhibitions by local and national artists working across the full range of media and techniques. Entry to the galleries is free, so come and have a look.
Main Gallery
The biggest of our galleries. This is a very large space where there are many
original pieces of art to enjoy from paintings to sculptures and everything in between.
The Main Gallery (250sq metres approx) has a minimum hire period of two weeks and maximum of four weeks. A two-week hire is £160 and four week £319.
Foyer Gallery
This is a smaller space near the entrance to the Centre. The Foyer Gallery is a space that can accommodate four A3 size images or six A4 size images. It is available for a minimum hire period of four weeks at a cost of £27.50.
Café Gallery
Surround yourself with beautiful things! Where else can you get a refreshing drink and something to eat while admiring original artwork? The Café Gallery provides a generous space, capable of accommodating a single body of work (up to about 12 pictures A2 size). The Café Gallery has a minimum hire period of four weeks, for which the charge is £60.
Note to Artists
Our three gallery spaces are available for hire to artists to display your work. Full details of gallery dimensions, costs and other details are available from the Centre. There are slots available for artists to sign up for 2010 spaces.
The costs for gallery hire given above are based on at least 75% of the work being available for purchase, the commision for LAC on all works sold is 25%.
We have a full current programme, and some LAC exhibitions are now programmed up to two years in advance.
